Our Story

Why CaraKit Was Created

CaraKit was founded out of lived experience—by women who have spent years navigating illness, recovery, caregiving, and the quiet moments in between.

After witnessing firsthand how overwhelming cancer, surgery, and long recoveries can be, one truth became impossible to ignore: the people going through it are not the only ones struggling. The partners, friends, colleagues, and family members who want to help are often left unsure of what to do, what to send, or how to show up in ways that are genuinely supportive.

Too often, the options available felt misaligned with the moment—either overly clinical, impersonal, or disconnected from what healing bodies and minds actually need. There was a clear gap between intention and impact.

CaraKit was created to bridge that gap.

Rooted in real-world experience and informed by conversations with patients, caregivers, and clinicians, CaraKit curates thoughtful, safe, and meaningful care kits designed specifically for recovery—at home, where most healing truly happens. Every kit is built with intention: to offer comfort without burden, care without overwhelm, and presence without expectation.

At its heart, CaraKit exists to make it easier for people to show up well—for others, and for themselves—during life's hardest seasons.
